The SHP100R is designed to extend the range of the 868.3 MHz wireless connection NOT the 802.11 Wifi signal. 
 
It is used when setting up a system in a large environment where there may be an issue of the Sensors/Alarms pairing to the SHG100 Smart Home Gateway. If you find that you cannot pair a device that is some distance from the gateway the SHP100R can be used to extend the range of the signal
